Can A Panic Attack Be Caused By Something Like This?

Let’s say a boy is suffering from depression and is suicidal. He goes to the hospital and there he’s fine. But then, something reminds him of a deceased person he truly loved starts so he starts trembling and stops breathing.
Is that what a panic attack is or is that a shock? I really don’t know the exact name but if you tell me it would be a grand help.
