Do You Think This Problem Merit A Visit To A Psychologist?

By admin Posted in: anxious

I am afraid of getting panic attacks.
Get extremely anxious when being watched while doing anything.
Functions normally when interacting with a single person.
Poor performance with groups/ get very anxious.
Arrogant and a lier.( To cope with my feelings).
Almost passed out in a group event(only happened once though)
Get nervous for no reason and then I am afraid someone will notice it.
Quite paranoid and have some compulsive thoughts.
Afraid people will notice how inadequate I am or at least fearful that I am.
As a result I perform poorly socially, I fear this may be social anxiet. What I am asking is should I go talk to a psychologist at least.
Thanks.

The very fact that you are thinking about getting help for this means something. These things are obviously bothering you so I’d say go for it. You don’t have to be completely insane to see a psychologist lol. It could very well be a step in the right direction. Sometimes getting help from someone else is the wisest thing to do. There are some things that other people may understand much better than yourself and that is precisely why talking to someone could help you in ways that you could never manage on your own with self-help measures.

im not an expert an any way, but i honestly think you should see some one.
it sounds like you have anxiety problems , i just scheduled my first apt for a therapist today. and i already feel better that i have made my first step.
there is no harm in trying to talk to someone than not talking to someone at all.

your stressing out that you might have a panic attack? now that is getting a bit ridiculous. Lets try this, deal with your issues one by one and you will be amazed that other problems just fade away, yourself confidence will increase because YOU yourself fixed your own problem.
