It looks like someone has provided the answers! Seeing that your teacher is working on sentence types, you will definitely want to learn the definition of a clause (and then be able to identify whether a clause is independent or dependent). As strange as it sounds, knowing about clauses will make all the difference in your writing. More important than answering questions like the type above, you’ll be able to use punctuation correctly and avoid embarrassing errors in all types of writing. If you have any questions about clauses, it’s worth seeing your teacher and asking for further explanation. Sometimes teachers think students already know this when in fact they don’t.
    Best of luck to you!

y’know, there is a difference between asking us to help with a question and asking us to do the question(s) for you. i’d say that this falls under the latter…
simple sentence = one independent clause.
compound sentence = two independent clauses.
complex sentence = one independent and one dependent clause.
compound-complex = two independent and one dependent clauses.
Hope this helped, and good luck!! :)
