Ah so its been a huge few days. (Staying in a hotel with an 8.5 month old while hubby has surgery on his spine/hip/neck) And guess what i did?
forgot to buy more formula. … yew! ahhhhh
it is not 930 at night and she is sleeping. NO where close is open and i just got her to sleep. i made her a bottle. it was heated once. but she didnt really drink any of it! i have enough for 2more bottles. which should see me through. but although this one has been heated, is it safe to put in the fridge to reheat later?? i havent done it before. usually i would discard it. But im just anxious as she may wake up for a bottle as she didnt drink it all.. (she usually sleeps through)

if it was heated, she didn’t drink it and you put it straight back in the fridge you could re-heat it again but I’d only do that if it happens within the next couple of hours. I’ve done it, friends have done it and our kids were fine. Its just a once off. If its longer than that i’d chuck it and use what else you have and get some more formula first thing in the morning.
Hope your husband is going to be okay
yes its okay to use that bottle again. But use the other two bottles you have first, hopefully she’ll go through the night okay and will only need one or two feeds before you can find a chemist.
If at anypoint in the night (or morning) you feel that you need to get the formula but don’t know where to go, ask at reception at the hospital where you’re husband is. More than likely they’ll have a pharmacy on site or near by.
I have done it a few times when my kids were babies, they grew up fine. It depends on how long it has been warm. If it has been out over an hour or so toss it though.
A good thing to remember when your going to be on the go is to get bottled water and powdered formula, then you can make up a little at a time as you need it. You don’t have to refrigerate the water or the powder…
You can NOT put it in the fridge and reheat it. Once it’s heated, it has to be used within one hour, otherwise toss it. It says so right on the formula can.
You’ve already heated it, there’s no problem in giving your daughter a room temperature bottle.
The advise would be if she has started to drink it them you should chuck it (it is not to do with re-heating but more to do with Bactria transferred from her mouth into the bottle.) But in saying that I wouldn’t as it would be better to use it then have a screaming, hungry bubby. If she usually sleeps through I would be putting it in the fridge and only using it if she uses the other 2 feeds you still have. If you need to use it heat it til it is very hot and then let it cool before giving it to her (as that would help to kill any Bactria.)
Good Luck
