We have a pastor and his wife and three kids living next door to us. You would think they would be nice people…they aren’t. They call the cops on us daily. And we don’t do a dang thing. They call for a vehicle being parked in the street and for our dogs barking. Well, what are we supposed to do with a semi and trailer? that is his job, so that is what he drives. they also call the cops about the time that he has to go to work which is only 7. not like it is 4 or 5 in the morning. And if you yell at a dog and they don’t know you, they are going to bark. Dogs bark….that’s what they do. They try and come up with some of the stupidest reasons. We know the cops and in the last week, they have called us in over a dozen times. the chief of police told us that they aren’t even going to send anybody out to check on their calls anymore. The reason we want to get back at them, is because we have gotten a ticket or two before for ridiculous crap and we are wanting to get a little revenge. We want to keep it all legal (or as much as possible;) )
Sorry it’s so long…i can’t convey to you how ridiculous this whole situation is. I’m pretty fired up at them this morning already!!!

Be a good neighbor to him. Offer help when you see them working outside on yard work. Maybe go to one of the services he is a pastor for. Sometimes you need to be a good neighbor to have a good neighbor. Turn the other cheek. Go forth with peace and realize that you’re stuck together until someone moves (which may never happen). Find something you both have in common and use it to make a good relationship. Maybe you both are baseball or football fans for the local team. Maybe invite neighbor over to watch the game with some snacks and drinks. Just a thought that revenge is not the only way. I kill them with kindness. One of the greatest feelings is having someone misjudge you. When someone thinks I’m a bad person, and I do kind things to them, it shows them that they were wrong. You’re right. Don’t let them be right. Show them you are a good neighbor.
I would try to calm things down, not start a new round of fighting and maybe justify all their calls to the police on you. It sounds like you have the moral high ground NOW. If you “get back at them” you may lose the moral and legal grounds to oppose them; they may win because you had to have useless revenge!
I’d talk with the police who have come out to these complaints. Be a critic of yourself and clean up anything that is a little your fault. See if there are some compromises to be made, and once you have made some, you have a position to say “no more.”
Once you have assured that you are on the right side of the law, you may be able to file a restraining order to make them stop. Or if it is clear they are incorrect in calling the police maybe they will get in trouble for false calls and wasting police time. But for this to work you cannot be any part of the problem, it will require a lot of patience.
Remember the big picture. The more you get mad about every little piece, the more they can create a situation to make you into the bad guy. Keep your head so the authorities can’t help but see it is all them.
Paint your house a ridiculous colour
You’ll piss off everyone in the neighbourhood, or better yet if they can see into your yard from their windows get a naked statue fountain.
I would try and just let sleeping dogs lye, really. Just shower them with kindness. The friendly hello, the wave. returning the wrongly delivered mail to them, taking over some random coupons they might be able to use and just say you dont want to see them go to waste, or send over some random food and just say you dont want it to go to waste as you accidentally bought the wrong type.
