I have a 2000 ford focus zx3 and it is in desperate need for a new pcv valve i was told, I just got it in the mail today and im anxious to get it in my car the only problem is i have no idea how to do it. I also dont know too much about car engines but i was told that the pcv valve which is normally located around the top of the engine is in a different place on my car its somewhere near the middle area or bottom which makes this already difficult task even more difficult. If i could get a very detailed how-to or a link to a video of some sort that would be very helpful, also i have this rubber tubing for the valve too which im not sure what to do with. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

there should be a rubber grommet that keeps in in place and a rubber hose to the other end. pull the rubber hose off and pull the pcv valve out. if you have the rubber boot at the same time, i think that i would judge the condition of the old one and maybe pull that one out and install the new one. i dont have a link but experience is what i do have. with out seeing it, i am relying solely on memory and if i remember right, you will find that valve on the driver side of the valve cover. it is in a crowded spot though.
