Oh yes. I don’t have bipolar but they thought I did. I do have anger problems when I am un-medicated, though and Yes! Even very small events would set my anger off. I don’t think bipolar is completely random, some events can trigger certain responses and sometimes it’s just random when chemicals shift or something. I’m not a psychology student, thought I wish I was. I have done reading and have experienced serious mood shifts though. Talk to your Dr about it, too. They will have a lot more info for you.
The environment plays a big part in triggering someone with bipolar. A variety of events can trigger a person with this illness. Stress is another factor. Therefore one with bipolar have to stay away from stressful situations. Too much stimulation is another trigger. For example , lets say someone is in a mall at holiday time (christmastime) this can cause a bipolar sufferer to get a high and spend lots of money that they don’t have , and after spending too much money , they accumulate debts and this can send the person into a deep depression. So, one has to be careful of certain situations and take their medication.
It depends. Some people are reactive to situations, some are not. I am the kind of anxious person who will be anxious for no reason. On the other hand, my mother, who also has anxiety, is very situational. Something happens, she reacts to it.
Each person is different!

often there is a catalyst. a small event that triggers a greater depression or anger than it would have in someone without the disorder
